Alvor Farmers' Market

Every Sunday, visit the Farmers' Market in Alvor. Located by the river estuary, you can find fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese and honey, cakes and herbs from local producers. A great opportunity to find fresh seasonal produce from local farmers and small family-run producers. 

The Mercadinho da Ria takes place every Sunday morning from 8am to 1pm. Browse the stalls to find seasonal fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs. Meet local producers and sample delicious honey and cheese. 

The market sets up by the Ria de Alvor, near to the fishermen huts. There is parking nearby, and plenty of cafés so you can enjoy a leisurely Sunday morning. Take the time to explore Alvor and to stroll the boardwalk that runs thorugh the dunes, with the ocean on one side and the estuary on the other. A perfect Sunday morning.
