Description

Discover Benagil Cave along with the spectacular coastline of Praia da Marinha and Albandeira in a small group setting that allows more time to explore each site. The tour begins with a safety briefing and kayaking instruction before launching from shore.

Each participant is provided with all necessary equipment including life jacket, paddle, and waterproof bag. Throughout the tour, the local guide captures 4K photos with a GoPro Hero 12, so you can focus on the experience rather than taking pictures.

As you paddle along the coast, your guide will share insights about the region’s history, marine life, and geological formations. The route includes visits to caves and sea tunnels, including the famous Benagil Cave, one of the world’s largest sea caves. Due to local regulations, stepping onto the sand inside Benagil Cave is not allowed; entry is restricted to the water.

Weather and ocean conditions determine access to other caves and hidden beaches that can only be reached by sea. This area is popular and may have other groups or boats; for a quieter experience, early morning (7:00 or 8:00) or afternoon (after 13:00) tours are recommended.

• Some double kayaks can convert to triple kayaks depending on participant size
• Stepping onto sand inside Benagil Cave is prohibited; stops inside other caves depend on safety and ocean conditions
• If cave stops are not possible, visits to hidden beaches accessible only by sea are arranged
• Moderate fitness level recommended as kayaking requires physical activity
• Ocean breeze can feel cool when wet during early morning or late afternoon tours; bring a light windbreaker if prone to cold
• The tour includes several short breaks to rest, hydrate, have snacks, and take photos
