Description
Operated by a dedicated family-run team, this experience is built on strong values: quality over quantity, safety, environmental responsibility, and authentic human connection. From the moment you arrive, and for the following 3 hours, you’ll feel welcomed into a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where every guest matters. Expect a small and intimate group, maximum of just 17 guests, including a personal interaction with your guides. Experience a respectful marine wildlife approach and up-close encounters from a comfortable 9-meter RIB boat, with a mix of bench and jockey seats, designed for ocean navigation with both speed and safety. Departure from Parchal, in front of a restaurant with a beautiful river view - your journey begins at the meeting point sign at the pier with check-in and life jacket fitting, followed by boarding the vessel. Before departure, you’ll receive a comprehensive safety and wildlife briefing. The tour starts slowly, moving along the Arade River, a place of calm and history, passing through Portimão and Ferragudo into the thrill of the ocean! Explore the Lagoa coastline: see dramatic cliffs, hidden beaches, and extraordinary rock formations shaped over millions of years. The highlight is entering the world-famous Benagil Cave. Your biologist guide will share fascinating insights into the region’s geology, history, and natural processes, enriching what you see with deeper understanding. Heading offshore, you’ll search for dolphins and other marine species. With a 98% sighting success rate, encounters are highly likely, but never guaranteed. Animals are always approached ethically - this means no chasing or disturbing wildlife. Accompanied by Ana, a caring biologist, and Pedro, the experienced captain and passionate diving instructor, every sighting feels meaningful: it´s never rushed or intrusive, respecting each species's behaviour! Through live interpretation, you’ll gain insight into dolphin behavior, communication, and the marine ecosystem. Questions are encouraged, creating a dynamic and engaging experience. This experience goes beyond tourism. Data is collected during each trip and shared with research and conservation organizations, contributing to the ongoing understanding and protection of marine ecosystems. By joining, you become part of a broader effort to respect and preserve ocean life. After the tour, you will get underwater videos of the wildlife, when Ocean conditions permit safe filming. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with family, this experience is inclusive and welcoming to all. Note: The route of the tour is flexible and adapted in real time - Depending on sea conditions and wildlife activity, the captain will decide whether to begin offshore in search of dolphins or along the coastline exploring caves. This is to ensure the best possible experience on every trip.
