Discover the Algarve on a day trip from Lisbon. Your journey begins with a stop at the famous Benagil Cave viewpoint, where you can admire the stunning sea cave from above - Land View of Benagil Cave: Take a short walk from the parking area to a cliff-top viewpoint overlooking the cave’s iconic skylight. While access inside the cave is restricted! Sea View of Benagil Cave: Choose the optional boat tour (extra cost) from Benagil or Portimão for an up-close view of Benagil Cave’s stunning interior from the sea. Continue to Algar Seco, a spectacular coastal area known for its dramatic cliffs, hidden grottoes, and panoramic ocean views. Walk along scenic pathways and discover the enchanting Boneca Cave, also known as “The Doll’s Cave.” In Lagos, enjoy free time to relax, explore, or swim in the crystal-clear waters. Take in the beauty of the Algarve coastline at Praia Dona Ana, Praia do Camilo, & the iconic cliffs of Ponta da Piedade. Here are the 2 itinerary for you - Itinerary 1: Algarve Tour Without Boat Ride. • Lisbon → Algarve: approximately 2h45m drive • First stop: Benagil — land view of Benagil Cave and pass by Benagil Beach • 15 min drive • Second stop: Algar Seco in Carvoeiro, including a visit to Boneca Cave • Free time for lunch in Carvoeiro, or continue the tour • 40 min drive • Final stop: Lagos — free time for lunch, enjoy the beach, boardwalk, scenic cliffs, and time to explore. Swimming (July ~ October), but you can still enjoy the beach and get your feet wet • Return to Lisbon from Lagos: approximately 3h drive. Itinerary 2: Algarve Tour With Boat Ride. • Lisbon → Algarve: approximately 2h30m drive • First stop: Algar Seco in Carvoeiro, including a visit to Boneca Cave • Continue with a 25 min drive • Second stop: Portimão Cruise Port Note: Optional Boat ride to Benagil cave — Extra cost, with others supplier, your guide will assist with arrangements. Prices - depending on the duration & route you choose, 30 ~ 90 minutes boat ride along the Algarve coastline, visiting 5+ caves including sea view of Benagil Cave, pass by Benagil Beach. It's depend on sea conditions and availability. On some days, due to restrictions from the maritime police, boats may not be allowed to enter the cave and will instead provide coastal views only. • Free time for lunch in Portimão, or continue the tour • 35 min drive • Final stop: Lagos — free time for lunch, enjoy the beach, boardwalk, scenic cliffs, and time to explore. Swimming is not recommended (timing) but you can still enjoy the beach and get your feet wet • Return to Lisbon from Lagos: approximately 3h drive.
