Taste Restaurant and Bar in Carvoeiro is a friendly, trendy eatery with a wonderful garden lounge, colourful stained glass windows and an international and Mediterranean menu.

Located just off the centre of Carvoeiro, a traditional fishing village turned cosmopolitan resort, Taste is a great option at pretty much any time of the day, any time of the year. The large stained glass windows add an exotic tone to the décor and the airy terrace is perfect for summer evenings. The downstairs garden lounge is chill-out territory. Strewn with candles, coloured lights and plants, this is just the place to kick-back and enjoy the evening. Mellow music sets the tone, with some live music sessions planned for the summer nights. During the winter months, you can cozy up to the huge fireplace in the dining room.

Open from midday, each day there is a good value, yet original lunch menu. Service is speedy when required (for those watching the clock) or you can linger over coffee and a drink on the 1st floor terrace.

For a lazy afternoon snack there is a selection of home-made cakes and when evening falls you can enjoy a full international and Mediterranean à la carte dinner menu. There are some traditional Portugueses dishes as well as a choice of tapas, and vegetarians are also catered for.

Under new management since April 2011, the combination of a lovely setting, warm welcome from the Taste team and great food , means you really should add Taste to your list of places to visit in Carvoeiro.
