Mar Shopping is more than just a shopping mall. The centre brings high street fashion brands and favourites like Starbucks to the Algarve as well as providing a locale for events, concerts and local activities, plus there's a food court that goes beyond the usual options, fun for the kids at Lego Fan Factory, even fun for your four-legged friends at Woof Land.
With over 90 shops, 25 restaurants and 8.000 sqm of outside leisure areas, Mar Shopping aims to be one of the very best shopping malls in Europe. An indoor shopping centre, which offers relief from the hot summer sun, as well as fun to do when it rains, the lighting and atmosphere at MAR Shopping has been very carefully created so as to provide an ambience that is easy on the senses and on the environment. Local Algarve plants and bushes decorate the inside and outside of the centre, Portuguese tiles bedeck the walls, solar panels and water consumption controls along with LED lighting work to keep the centre's eco footprint down. There are even solar phone chargers available for your use.
The outside leisure area has play areas for children with tunnels and hideaways (check out the video below!), water features and plenty of seating for a few moments of relaxation.
There are regular fun days at the centre with children's activities online every Sunday, and lots of events throughout the year. There is a mini golf course, for some friendly competition.
Special sessions at the cinemas, with live streams of concerts and performances from around the world, such as ballet and opera performances from Russia and the UK.
