Vale da Pinta Pestana Golf - a beautifully designed 18 hole championship golf course near Carvoeiro. Dotted with carob, fig and ancient olive trees and known for it's outstanding course maintenance.
Designed by Ronald Fream, the 18 hole course has several tee points for each hole. So although Vale da Pinta is a championship course, it is adaptable to different levels of skill. 8 consecutive times host of the European Seniors Tour Qualifying final, the course is known for its beauty as well as it's challenges.
The rolling terrain of Vale da Pinta is dotted with carob, fig and almond trees. One very special feature is an olive tree that is said to be more than 1200 years old. As well as its lovely aesthetics, Vale da Pinta has been recognized for it ecological approach to maintenance, particularly water management and the course is widely regarded to have outstanding levels of maintenance.
The fairways of Bermuda grass, well-placed bunkers, ornamental lakes and pristine greens of Pencross Bentgrass set against the background of the Monchique hills make for a very enjoyable golf experience.
