Blue Wave Beach Bar

The Algarve – sun, sea, sand, good times and good food. You can find all that at the Blue Wave Beach Bar. Located in the Western Algarve, next to the village of Salema, this place is just right for lazy lunches, cool cocktails and romantic dinners.

The western Algarve is far less developed that the central area so the natural beauty of the coastline can still be enjoyed to the full. From the Blue Wave the views along the coastline and across the immense Atlantic are stunning. The restaurant itself is at the end of a winding track that takes you right onto the beach at Cabanas Velhas – a very quiet, picturesque beach where relaxation is the order of the day. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, although it is hard to beat enjoying a tasty meal on the wooden deck.

The menu at the Blue Wave is extensive. There are plenty of snacks to choose from – fresh sandwiches, soup, baguettes. The salads are varied and generous. The à la carte menu has both fish and meat dishes and a good selection of wines. Food is served all day and the service is friendly and helpful.
