Gaivota Branca restaurant in Lagos is everybody's idea of what an Algarve beach restaurant should be. The feeling is relaxed and easy going, the food delicious and fresh and the view.....well the view you are going to have to see for yourself....

The restaurant is set right on Meia Praia beach next to beautiful town of Lagos. This beach is one of the most outstanding along the Algarve , stretching for over 4 kms from Lagos over towards the Ria Alvor. As you approach the restaurant its terrace gradually comes into view, then the beach appears and finally the ocean. Breath-taking. To the west you can see Lagos and Ponta de Piedade, to the east the views stretch to Alvor, Praia da Rocha and even Carvoeiro.

Gaivota Branca serves excellent Portuguese and international food. There is always a good selection of fresh fish to choose from. It's hard to beat lightly grilled fish, a salad flavoured with local herbs and a very chilled bottle of wine on the shaded terrace. Prawns are a speciality of the house. Grilled, fried or flavoured with piri-piri they are delicious. The steaks too are worth mentioning - very good quality meat and generous portions.

Open all day, and all year, Gaivota Branca serves drinks and snacks as well as having the à la carte menu. So you can laze on the beach, enjoying the sun and when hunger strikes you just have to stroll a few metres to the restaurant to enjoy an excellent meal or a refreshing drink.
