The Clube de Ténis de Portimão e Rocha is one of the Algarve’s most dynamic and successful tennis clubs. The club has five hard courts, eight padel courts and runs an excellent tennis school with classes ranging from mini-tennis for 4 and 5 year old all the way through to junior competition and individual tuition for adults. Over the years the club has produced several national champions.
Padel is growing in popularity in Portugal and there are eight padel courts at this club, 7 of which are covered courts . Coaching is available too and there are regular social Padel Mixes you can join.
Located in the center of Portimão the club is easily accessible and has ample parking nearby. The club is surrounded by tall, mature trees which provide welcome shade during the hot Algarve summers. You don’t have to be a member to play here - courts are available to hire to non-members and equipment can be hired too, if required.
The Club hosts several prestigious tournaments throughout the year, both for tennis and padel. Worthy of mention too, is the bar and restaurant within the club’s grounds. The tree shaded courtyard is the perfect place for a cold drink and a chat after a game.
