O Cais Café
Vegan and Vegetarian Café and Tea house in Silves
Silves, the capital of the Algarve during Moorish rule, is a town steeped in history. Its cobbled streets and iconic landmarks, such as Silves Castle, and the Sé de Silves Gothic cathedral, transport visitors to a bygone era. Strolling the town’s streets is a charming step back in time. The River Arade connects the town with the coast and was once a vital artery for trade and travel, with the town’s Roman bridge serving as a key transit point in ancient times.
About O Cais Café
O Cais is located right by the waterfront, overlooking the roman bridge. You can relax on the pavement terrace and watch the ebb and flow of the river as you sip a cold beer or fresh juice, or sample some of the freshly prepared dishes. Upstairs there is a cosy lounge - the perfect spot for a quiet coffee or drink.
Housed in a charming historical building, just a few minutes stroll from the main historical landmarks of the town, O Cais offers an inviting array of vegan and vegetarian food and drinks - juices, mocktails, quiches, salads and more. The dishes are complemented by a selection of organic wines as well as artisanal beers for those seeking something different.
