The Paul McGinley Golf Academy offers excellence in coaching and facilities, to help all golfers, no matter their level, enjoy and improve their game. From junior golfers upwards, the academy, located at Quinta do Lago driving range, embodies the passion for golf that is a hallmark of the Quinta do Lago experience.
The Quinta do Lago Golf Academy brings passion and precision to the game, with top-class coaching used alongside state-of-the-art analysis and performance-enhancing technology at the TaylorMade Performance Centre.
Founded by Paul McGinley in 2011, the captain of the 2014 Winning Ryder Cup team, the academy aims to help you improve your game by providing you with the tools and techniques used by professionals on tour. Open to all levels of players, everyone is welcome.
Golf Lessons in Quinta do Lago
There is a range of teaching options available at the Academy.
You can opt for a one-to-one private coaching session, to work on your short game or full swing with computer analysis. Or you can opt for ongoing coaching to improve your overall performance and technique. There are Playing Lessons to improve tactical aspects of your game, as well as Golf Camps, ranging from half-day to 5-day camps.
TaylorMade Performance Centre
A state-of-the-art centre, operated by TaylorMade-trained technicians, where you can receive a custom fitting experience testing hundreds of club and iron combinations, ensuring the best fit for every player’s physical characteristics and swing. Plus, exclusive access to launch monitor and ball flight technology as well as guidance from custom fitting professionals.
Junior Club
The Junior Golf Club welcomes young players of all levels, where a love of sport and enjoyment are always to the forefront. Junior players benefit from weekly coaching sessions with the Academy golf pros, as well as technical analysis, working towards goals to enter both national and international tournaments, to improve posture, gameplay and technique. And above all, to enjoy playing this fabulous sport and creating new friendships.

A very important event on the Quinta do Lago golfing calendar, the Paul McGinley Junior Cup is an opportunity for golfers in age categories from under-10 to under-18 years of age, to participate in a tournament in the fabulous golf setting that is Quinta do Lago
Golf Fitness at The Campus
To complement the great coaching from the Academy golf pros, avail of the special Golf Fitness programmes available at The Campus. Proper physical preparation can take strokes off your score, prevent injuries and help you enjoy your game even more. Individual programmes can be created to suit your particular needs. The Campus is Quinta do Lago’s state-of-the-art sports centre, for professional and amateur sports lovers, looking to improve their game at all levels.
