Vila Vita Biergarten Restaurant

The Vila Vita Biergarten is a true taste of Bavaria in the Algarve. Tall glasses of Erdinger beer and Porches IPA served with delicious food. It's a food for beer and from butcher to table concept that is perfect for relaxed dining.
Vila Vita Parc, one of the Algarve's most prestigious and luxurious resorts, brings some german flavours to village of Porches at the Biergarten. Outside, long wooden tables and benches, wooden kegs, colourful wall murals depicting Bavarian scenes and even a May Pole complete the illusion of a true Bavarian Biergarten. Inside, the restaurant is decked out in vintage 120 year old wood creating the feel of an alpine chalet.
It's not all illusion though. There is a great range of beer available, featuring the excellent Erdinger beer from the world famous brewery in Bavaria. At the Biergarten you can enjoy Erdinger Weissbier as well as the darker Dunkel. And special mention for the outstanding Porches IPA (Indian Pale Ale), VILA VITA Parc's very own craft beer, made in Portugal, which has a tropical aroma and a zingy, refreshing taste - perfect for hot summer days.
FOOD AT THE BIERGARTEN
The Biergarten offers a food-for-beer and butcher-to-table concept. The dishes on the menu pair perfectly with the beer.
The menu features authentic German dishes and flavours. There are charcuterie platters perfect for sharing, traditional schnitzel, crispy Bavarian blue cheese on a bed of rosti with cranberry, tender pork belly with sweet potatoes and vegetarian options too.
Special mention for the great variety of home-made German sausages made by Vila Vita Parc's own butcher Thomas Weber, and for the excellent pork and beef that comes from the resort's Alentejo estate - Herdade dos Grous.
The Vila Vita Biergarten is spacious inside and out. It is ideal for groups and celebrations, or simply for an early evening beer. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. There is even a small children's park to entertain the juniors. The Biergarten comes into its own in October when it hosts a annual Oktoberfest, complete with huge glasses of beer and an Oompa band. Throughout the year, the Biergarten regularly hosts special events - for example weeks dedicated to the flavours of Austria or the Swiss Alps, and the fun summer BBQs.
GERMAN BUTCHER SHOP AT THE BIERGARTEN
Next to the Biergarten you can find Thomas Weber's butcher shop or Metzgerei. Once a very well kept secret, the word is now out that this is the place to find quality meat as well as traditional, home-made German sausages and delicatessen fare. You can also buy some of the excellent wines produced on Vila Vita's Herdade dos Grous estate.
The Biergarten is just one of Vila Vita Parc's excellent restaurants. For gourmet dining visit the two Michelin starred Ocean Restaurant. For the best in japanese dining in the Algarve visit Mizu and for a wonderful wine and dine experience visit the VILA VITA Parc wine cellar - the Caves dos Vinhos.
